No Spllenig Erors

We all make spelling mistakes, who isn't thankful for spellcheck? But what about obvious, painful spelling mistakes that are totally public--and embarrassing?  A few weeks ago I noticed a restaurant by my house that had a HUGE adverstising sign out front that said "New Onership."  Okay, you have to wonder why this person DIDN'T have this checked out before--and why nobody else noticed? And then you have to wonder what kind of owners took over this place. And hopefully the food is better than their spelling!

Here are some other slightly obvious spelling mistakes that you can't help but cringe when seeing. Can you imagine what these people thought when they finally realized their errors. All I can say is, I hope I don't have one of those days!

Remember, only Nuns can drop off cans!

Hmm, I don't remember being taught that in school either.

My guess is that a Harvard graduate did NOT make this.

Perhaps this is just a faster way to say no smoking while working?

But what about the low ceiling?

*shakes head* no comment

But officer, the sign didn't say stop.

This one takes the cake.

Sorry dude, but you're not as awesome as you think!

I saw a S H C O O L one on the news the other day. Cracked me up.

I learned my lesson on remembering to use spell check after I sent out an email to my very large department at a company I used to work for. I must have blocked it from my mind, because I can't remember the misspelled word now, but it was very embarrassing.

I notice spelling errors before I notice what something even says usually (LOL cats drive me nuts)

I cannot believe they spelled California wrong on a street sign. That's just... wow. xD

Oh my! Thanks for sharing them.
Happy weekend,

I occasionally make them myself (and blame it on the fact that English is my second language), but hopefully I will never make any THIS obvious. The Harvard one is definitely my favourite!

I cringe when I send something out there only to notice later that I misspelled something. I think I have even broke out into a hot sweat.
This was a fun post.
P.S. One of my children's teachers would often send home letters to parents and she always always wrote alot instead of a lot. I started to think maybe I had it wrong being she was the teacher.

at my work, people are always misspelling things... last shift there was someone allergic to spinage (spinach) and someone prepared dense calorie supper (super) pudding. i just smile and go along with my day... not that i always spell things correctly either...

Those were fantastic! I wonder if you have a case against your tattoo artist when the screw up like that? hahaha.

I like the smorking one.

The other day on Facebook, someone posted a picture of a sign on a street (like your "SOTP" one) that said "SHCOOL". Great for the kids.

These are the best! My personal favorite is the idiot talking about his kids learning to read and write and yet he didn't take the time to do so!!!

Reminder - Guess that character blogfest this Thursday and Friday! Look forward to seeing what you post!
