Query Critique Contest!

I am so thrilled to be on Matthew Rush's blog today! I've posted my query and he's given his critique/feedback along with my thoughts on it. It's fun and he's is amazing, so you HAVE to check it  out HERE!

In conjunction with the theme of queries, we're doing a Contest and there will be TWO winners! And this is one is very simple. Here's the rules.

1. Leave a comment on this post saying you want the query crit

And/or

2. Leave a comment on Matthew's blog on todays post saying you want the query cit.

3. Winner will be chosen on AUGUST 3rd

Easy, right? I will randomly pick one winner from Matthew's comments and one winner on this post. You can double up your chances by commenting on both.

Just be sure to say you want the "query crit" in the comments though or else I won't know to add you to the contest since not every person needs/wants one.

Now, if you would like to tweet, facebook, or help get the word out, it might not help you with extra points, but I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER!

Happy Friday!!

I already <3 you forever Rose, and I can't enter anyway. Well that plus I am in the middle of a re-write into first person and ... the plot shouldn't change too drastically, but you never know!

BTW I don't blog on weekends so the post will be up until Monday morn. Hopefully we'll get some more people interested in a crit cause right now Jen's the winner by default (not that she doesn't deserve it, she rocks).

What a great post! I love the fact that both of you broke it down and gave your thoughts. Definitely inspired me to write my children's book/novel.

I would love to have a query critiqued, but is this only for fiction? Are proposals for non-fiction? My non-fiction piece (a devotional) is much closer to that step than my fiction. Though I'm not sure where a bedtime story would fit in. (I will ask this on both blogs in case anybody at either site happens to be wondering the same things)

I'd love a query crit!

I joked on Matthew's blog about you critiquing my manuscript. Apparently I didn't read the very bottom of the post to see winning a critique was actually part of the contest. What a great prize. I hope I win.

I'll post this contest on Facebook.

I don't have a query to crit...not a real one anyhow. I have a mock one I had to write for a class, but it scarcely resembles my book.

Found your awesome blog through Matthew. I love it. And the hooks were easy to see in your query.

Definitely put me in for a query crit. I could use a lot of help.
