Ed Gale, The Man Inside The Chucky Doll

He's so cute, I wanna put him in my pocket!
One of the terrific things about the Horror Art Event I participated in this weekend was meeting fabulous people. Among those people was Ed Gale. He was very easy to talk to and loved answering questions about his career, the movies and stage sets, you name it. And until the event, I had NO IDEA there was an actual person in Chucky until this event.

Ed Gale explained there were two sets. Since the doll was much smaller than him, an actual doll was shot on one set as a close up. Anytime the doll was moving, that was him, shooting on the duplicate set.  Ed Gale was also Howard the Duck, played in Spaceballs (I watched this movie so many times! He played a dink. He said this was his first Dinky roll, haha) and in the 1990's Land of the Lost, along with so many other films. It was a pleasure to talk with him and have my picture taken with him.

Another funtastic thing I got to do? I had a Boa wrap itself around me! Her name was cuddles and she was the sweetest thing. Ever. But afterwards, boy, were my arms tired. Oh, and she even wrapped hersellf around my neck. She's very quick.

Even with her being so small, I can definitely feel her stength.
Imagine when she becomes full grown!

You're so funny - I don't think I'd EVER go to a show like that. Did hubby go with you? I want to see you when you have time!!

No, it was just me and my two art friends. We we artists selling at the event. It was for the Sac Horror and Sci-Fi Convention at the Scottish Rite. Hubby wanted to go but it would've been too expensive to get in with him and all the boys.

Me too-I miss you! I'm hoping this week!

I love meeting people and getting behind the scenes glimpses on how movies were made! Must have been awesome fun.

I'd like to go to a horror event some day. Even though I don't write horror, I love the books and movies in that genre.

You're brave with the snake.

Wow I love!!! How cool that you got to meet with him, chat with him and snap a photo! Way fun!

I love this... I can handle snakes, they don't terrify me but the other S word does... strange isn't it?
